Deleted Player 2

Hi,
We've got a couple of 'Deleted player 2' entries in the egg squash ladder. It looks like they are being created when a user makes a challenge but doesn't confirm the challenge before their session has timed out. This is resulting in a player being under challenge by a rouge deleted player X. As admin, I've tried removing the deleted player but had no joy - they have not got an email address. Can you help please? Also the challenge emails are not being sent in the majority of challenges.
